Our tutors make the difference. We come together in a cooperative, all are highly experienced and successful classroom teachers, some are Heads of Departments, each with a passion for helping students to gain confidence and achieve beyond their aspirations. We enjoy the privilege of making a big difference to the lives of our students. It is a pleasure to be free to apply the skills of our training and experience.
We have developed unique models for efficiently delivering one-to-one tuition within small groups to keep the cost of tutoring by specialist teachers as affordable as possible. We reject the false saving of using untrained under-graduate tutors. The Community Schools tutors are always, fully trained, highly experienced, fully insured and DBS certified professionals. No, Community Schools students are only committed to sign up for a course of either, one term of 10 weekly sessions or a shorter revision course. However, we find that almost all of our students continue for multiple courses. For our term dates please follow this link.
Whilst the tutoring groups are made up of students of similar levels with each student within the group being taught as an individual. The tutor will assess the strengths and weaknesses of their students and devise an individual programme to optimise their personal progress.
Your fees are focused on progress for the student. In response to requests the tutor will provide written progress reports on each of their students at the end of a 5 week block of sessions.
No, absolutely not. The Community Schools support all students individually. It is true, a proportion of our students join us because they have either fallen behind or are underachieving at school. Many more are either those on borderline grades wishing to consolidate their progress or those wanting to be pushed to achieve at the very highest levels.
