What makes The Community Schools CIC different from other tutoring services?
The Community Schools CIC is a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on reinvesting surplus funds into the local community. Our tutors are highly experienced, fully qualified teachers some with over 30 years of classroom experience. We offer personalised, empathetic support tailored to each students’ unique needs.

If your child is struggling with specific subjects, needs extra support to stay on track, or you simply want to enhance their learning experience, tutoring can be highly beneficial. Our initial consultation and assessment will help determine the best approach for your child.

All our tutors are carefully selected, qualified teachers who bring strong subject knowledge, classroom experience and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed. We carry out thorough recruitment and safeguarding checks, including daily enhanced DBS checks, so parents can feel confident that their child is receiving high-quality tuition in a safe and supportive environment.
Yes, we offer both in-person tutoring at our Learning Centres and online tutoring via the Pencil Spaces platform. You can choose the option that best suits your child’s needs and your family’s schedule.

We offer tutoring in core subjects such as Maths, English, and Science, as well as additional subjects like Modern Languages, History, Psychology, Computer Science, and Business Studies/Economics.

Our tutoring is structured into 11 week terms, providing your child with consistent, regular support and time to build confidence, develop skills and make meaningful progress.

Tuition continues from term to term unless you choose to cancel. If you wish to end your child’s tuition, we ask for four weeks’ notice, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions.

We understand that every child is unique, and some may not fit the typical age parameters of school years. Please chat with us, and we’ll work to accommodate your child’s needs regardless of Key Stage age brackets.

Our tutors continually monitor your child’s understanding, confidence and progress throughout their tuition, adapting sessions to address areas where additional support may be needed.

We believe regular communication with parents is important. Tutors provide feedback and highlight any concerns as they arise, and a written progress report is provided at the end of every term, giving you a clear overview of your child’s progress, achievements and areas for further development.
